Angela Cecilia Vanelli Andreuccetti (also known as Angie, Mama, Nonni, Nina, Aunt Angie, and Turtle), passed from this world into the next on Good Friday, April 15th, 2022 at 85 years young. Her spirit is carried by her 4 living daughters (Theresa, Gina, Claire, and Amy) , 3 granddaughters (Maria, Hailey, and Jana), 1 great-grandson (Michael), 6 siblings (Joe, Yolanda, Anthony, Robert, Tina, and Mike) and many extended family and friends from every walk of life. She joins her late husband Paul, son Mark, parents William and Alice, brother Raoul, and several other loved ones in eternal life. Angela was a vibrant individual, friend, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cook, and creative. She wore her heart proudly on her sleeve and made sure everyone knew exactly how she felt; she wrapped people in her love and fierce loyalty. Above all, Angela was dedicated to her family and community, opening her home to others for a hearty Italian meal, crafting clothes and jewelry for those she loved most, and advocating for the rights of women, LGBTQ+ people, children with disabilities, and the environment. She welcomed any excuse to get dressed up for a party - she was the first to get up to dance and never shied away from sharing her quick wit and passion for life. A young and energetic spirit until the very end, Angela stands as a warm reminder of the freedom that comes when we embrace our inner-curiosity and keep our minds and hearts wide open. There will be a memorial mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Market Street in Memphis on Tuesday, April 19th, 2022. Visitation at 11 a.m., mass at Noon, and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider gifts in her honor to the Missionaries of Charity, Mother Teresa’s homeless shelter for women and children in Memphis, TN (700 N 7th St).”
