ARNOLD MORRIS WEISS Born the only son of the late Joseph and Rebecca (Cooper) Weiss, Arnold Morris Weiss was born on December 19, 1934. A lifelong resident of Memphis, Tennessee, Arnold graduated from Central High School and then earned his Undergraduate and Law Degrees from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. In 1958, Arnold married the love of his life, Joan Rosenblum of Jackson, TN. Married for almost 63 years, Arnold is also survived by three daughters, Cynthia (Rabbi Jordan) Parr of Richardson, TX, Barbara (Henry) Kimmel of Atlanta, GA, and Susan (Dr. Raphael) Orenstein of Chapel Hill, NC and seven grandchildren: Rebecca Parr, Sarah (Semyon) Starobin, Lois Kimmel, Joseph Kimmel, Georgia Kimmel, Elliot Orenstein (Laura Buczek) and Samuel Orenstein. For many years, Arnold practiced law in downtown Memphis, specializing in bankruptcy and foreclosure. In addition, Arnold was an avid reader and a founding member of the St. Jude galas in Palm Beach, FL. He was also on the Vanderbilt Law School Board of Advisors. Arnold and Joan are also long-time members of Temple Israel of Memphis. Services are entrusted to Canale Funeral Home of Memphis. Due to Covid-19 protocols, a private service and interment will be held at the Temple Israel Cemetery on Sunday, May 2. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arnold’s memory to the Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund of Temple Israel of Memphis, TN or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
