She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 55 years, Robert “Bob” Schaedle, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters Margaret (Charles) Cooley and Betty (Jack) Walsh. Clare is survived by her beloved children Robert “Rob” Schaedle III, Susan Schaedle, Stephen Schaedle and Mike and Catherine Pohlman, as well as her ten beloved grandchildren, Scott, Ben (Taylor) and Will (Sarah) Schaedle and Anna Mary Smith (Drew) and Virginia Christmas (Bradley), Carter Glenn (Geneva), Matt Pohlman (Mary Anne), Katie Pohlman, Clare Moffit (Robbie) and Maggie Green (Colin), 14 great grandchildren, who affectionally called her Great Momma. She also leaves behind her best friend, Cascellar Taylor who was her constant companion and treasured friend for 29 years, and her cherished nieces and nephews. Clare was a retired, prominent businesswoman. For 28 years, she was President and owner of Temporary Talent, Inc. a temporary staffing business. Clare was a faithful member of the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception where she served on many committees throughout the years. She was a member of The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher, Madonna Circle and Overton Park Ladies Golf Club. She also served on the Diocese of Memphis Bishop’s Appeal for several years. One of her proudest accomplishments was the creation of the Rosary Project, whose mission was to distribute a Rosary to every student in the Catholic Diocese. Clare’s greatest legacy to her family is her example of faith, charity, selflessness, kindness, gratitude and humility. Her genuine love and joyfulness radiated through her beautiful smile. Clare’s life was a life well lived and well loved. She will be eternally missed, but we are comforted knowing that she is now eternally with “her Bob.” Visitation will be at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception Sunday March 20th from 4-6 with Rosary at 6:00. The Funeral Mass will be at The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception Monday March 21st at 1:30 p.m. with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
