Nicole Stahl Mochow

Nicole Stahl Mochow, born March 19, 1927, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021, peacefully, in her sleep following a long illness. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard, her parents, her two brothers and her most beloved sister, Perry. She is survived by her daughters, Kristi and Jan, her son, Rick and their spouses Andy and Suzanne; her grandchildren, Jan Elizabeth, Brenden, Ian, Ricky and Duncan, their spouses Dean, Misty, Maria and Krystal; her 6 great-grandchidren, Conrad, Corran, Tanner, Madison, Mauren and Arthur Malcolm; and a sister in law and eight nieces and nephews. Nickie was a passionate Memphis Americans Soccer fan, Univ of Memphis and Grizzly basketball fan, and loved to canoe or kayak the local rivers with Dad. She instilled a love for the outdoors in her children and grandchildren. Nickie was a member of and an Elder in First Presbyterian Church, Memphis where she joyfully sang tenor in the church choir. She worked as a chemist for Woodson Tenet. She volunteered after retirement serving Meals on Wheels for MIFA. Nickie also enjoyed painting ceramics with a long-time friend and church member. Her house is decorated with things she painted and is especially full of Santas, angels and snow babies at Christmas time. She was a regular volunteer as a docent with the Memphis Wonders series and delighted in sharing those Wonders with her two Memphis grandsons. A memorial service will be held March 27th at 1:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church 166 Poplar Avenue, Memphis. It will be with limited seating and a live stream presentation, followed by a Zoom fellowship of memories and storytelling at 5:00 pm Central time.
